Alberto Corbetta Alberto Corbetta, Surface & Graphic Design

Alberto Corbetta graduated in 2002 in design at the Polytechnic of Milan where he became a teaching assistant in graphic & visual communication.

Following his instinctive interest for ceramic design, in 2003 he moved to Moscow to work for Kerama Marazzi, the leading Russian manufacturer and distributor of ceramic tiles and porcelain gres. During his long stay in Russia he conceived new collections of tiles still appreciated by the Russian market, for example Lizard 20x30 [>>], the best-selling ceramic tile in Russia, which is still in production. His research perceives décor like a graphic continuum that covers the entire wall. He experiments with the fusion between animalier patches and metallic fashion effects.

In the last few years he has developed strong collaborations with several communication agencies in Milan. He has also worked for 3 Italia as the graphic & website communication manager.

In 2009 he designed Japan 2010 [>>] for Kerama Marazzi. Its design is the result of a great consideration regarding the Japanese figurative culture where both elegance and simplicity are part of each detail and accuracy combines tradition with modernity. For the same company he designed the next successful collections: France 2011 [>>], Scandinavia 2012 [>>], Rome 2013 [>>] and India 2014 [>>].
